This is suitable for the Jaguar 420G as well as the 4.2 E-Types and MK10. This can also be run on the 3.8 engines with different needles. Our aim was to not over-restore this and to keep them looking as good as original with minor upgrades such as stainless steel fittings and zinc plated linkages in order to improve serviceability and longevity.
Below is a list of everything that had been done to this intake manifold and carburetors:
- Everything has been vapor blasted and chemically cleaned.
- New 74 degree thermostat and thermostat gasket has been fitted.
- New thermostat housing and water outlet fittings.
- Hardware had been checked or replaced with stainless steel hardware where needed.
- All bracketry has been stripped, shot blast and zinc plated.
- Butterfly shaft bushes have been replaced and reamed to ensure that they are perfectly parallel.
- Butterflies and butterfly shafts have been replaced with new.
- New standard 4.2 needles have been fitted.
- Carburetors are on the rubber anti-vibration mount, new O-rings fitted.
- Brand new otter switch and temperature sender unit fitted.
- Diaphragms replaced.
- No oil in carburetor dampers due to shipping.
- Auto choke unit checked and working

- The Intake Manifold and 3 HD8 Carburetors.
- Carburetor manifold to cylinder head gasket.
- Carburetor to inlet manifold gaskets.
- Original fuel feed and overflow pipes supplied but we haven't done anything to them.
- Includes original matching number float chamber tags.
